Custom Beadwork Policies
Waabooz Beading
Thank you for your interest in commissioning a custom piece from Waabooz Beading! Each piece is handmade with care, time, and attention to detail. Please review the following policies before placing a custom order.
1. Payment
• Full payment is required upfront before work begins.
• Payment is accepted through Venmo or PayPal.
• Work will not begin until payment has been received and the design has been approved.
• Any additional work or expenses outside the original agreement must be discussed and approved before proceeding.
2. Design Approval and Changes
• The design must be approved by the customer before beadwork begins.
• Once the design has been approved and work has started, no design changes or alterations will be accepted.
• Customers are responsible for reviewing their design, colors, sizing, and requested details carefully before providing approval.
• Minor variations inherent to handmade work are to be expected.
3. Progress Photos
• One progress photo will be provided during the creation of the piece.
• Customers may request their progress photo at any time during the creation process. Otherwise, it will be provided when the beadwork is completed and finishing details are being discussed.
• Additional progress photos are not guaranteed.
4. Finishing Details
• Once the beadwork is completed, the customer will have the opportunity to discuss finishing details, including edging, backing, and other applicable construction details.
• This stage is intended to finalize the piece, not to redesign or alter the approved beadwork.
• Delays in customer responses may affect the estimated completion date.
5. Turnaround Times
• Estimated completion times will be communicated before work begins.
• Turnaround times are estimates and may change due to unforeseen circumstances. Any significant delays will be communicated to the customer.
• Customers must communicate any event or deadline requirements before placing their order. A deadline is not guaranteed unless explicitly agreed upon.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
• Because each piece is custom-made and work begins after payment and design approval, all sales are final.
• Cancellations are not accepted once payment has been submitted.
• Refunds, exchanges, and returns are not offered for custom orders, including orders that are in progress or completed.
• By placing an order, the customer acknowledges that payment is nonrefundable, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
• If Waabooz Beading is unable to complete an order, the customer will be contacted directly to discuss an appropriate resolution.
7. Shipping and Delivery
• Shipping costs, delivery methods, and estimated shipping timelines will be communicated before shipment.
• Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address.
• Any shipping issues must be communicated promptly so that they can be addressed with the carrier as appropriate.
• Local pickup is also an option and can be discussed at time of delivery of the beadwork.
8. Handmade Work and Repairs
• All beadwork is handmade, and minor variations are a natural part of the process.
• Customers are responsible for handling and caring for their pieces appropriately.
• Requests for repairs will be evaluated individually. Repair eligibility and any associated costs will depend on the nature of the damage and whether it relates to a workmanship issue or normal wear and tear.
9. Communication
• Clear and timely communication is essential throughout the commission process.
• Customers are responsible for responding to requests for necessary information and approving finishing details in a timely manner.
• If a customer becomes unresponsive, the project timeline may be extended until the necessary information is received.
10. Agreement to Policies
By submitting payment and approving a custom design, the customer acknowledges that they have read and agreed to these policies.
